If there is something I have noticed with influencers, they are also easily influenced. I mean, why is every female influencer currently posting pictures of them in a private jet? In Dubai? 1000 Roses? And I won't get started with the BBL trend. Not so long ago they were all obsessed with golf, recently the new hobby to enroll yourself in is Tennis. There is also one luxury food item that keeps popping up in all of their feeds and maybe you are curious to know exactly what it is? Well, it is called Beloga Caviar, it even sounds expensive just saying it, no wonder our South African influencers love it!

What is Caviar?
Pronounced or sounds like "Ka- Vee- aa" is unfertilized fish eggs, also known as fish roe. Yes, you read that right, it is basically eggs of various large fish that are eaten as food. There is orange caviar and black caviar. Even though caviar is mostly a symbol of luxury - it is packed with lots of nutrients. It is known as a super food, as it is packed with omega 3 fatty acids, which among other things is said to lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation caused by arthritis and reduce the risk of heart diseases.
Is Caviar expensive?
Yes, the Caviar the influencers are endulging on is expensive, the caviar that comes in black is generally very expensive, whereas, the orange caviar which is Trout Caviar is relatively cheaper. Beluga Caviar costs up to thousand of Rands per small 15g serving. And in terms of nutritional density, the Beluga Caviar is considered to have a higher nutritional value content then what Trout caviar has. Beluga caviar is considered the "king" of caviars, and is on the list of being one of the most expensive foods in the world. However, in terms of taste, Trout caviar tastes a little bit better and sweeter than the Beluga Caviar. So if you have a few thousand Rands to spend, then you really should try Caviar and add it to your stories as well, lol.

Symbol of Status and luxury
Seeing caviar served on a private jet reinforces its association with luxury and exclusivity. Private jets are already a symbol of wealth, serving caviar elevates that further. Caviar to wealthy individuals reinforce its status as a luxury item. Luxury items are considered non-essential but highly desirable. It has an emotional appeal, it offers a sense of indulgence, pleasure and prestige. That is why top influencers in this country are so into it right now, and they are very fickle tomorrow they would be something new they are obsessing over. But for now, it is safe to say if you want to say you living the "soft life" than top of the list to buy yourself is Caviar. Or better yet, hop on a private jet, I heard they are served as part of your travelling expenses. Like the saying goes: "There is levels to this thing"
Please comment have you ever eaten Caviar and what did you think?
