How to improve Lymphatic system drainage in your body?

The lymphatic system - a network of vessels and tissues that carry fluid called Lymph throughout the body. It helps fight infection in the body, that why sometimes when you have an infection in your body than the Lymph nodes that are near that area will become swollen. It is form part of the immune system, and it helps the body get rid of toxins. It important to make sure to keep it running smoothly.


What is lymphatic system drainage?

This is the process where fluid known as Lymph fluid is moved throughout the body through the Lymphatic system (vessels/nodes) to eventually back to the bloodstream. The fluid moves along the body balancing fluid in the body, by absorbing excess water, dietary fats and fighting infections.


How to improve lymphatic drainage?

Exercise

Deep breathing

Relaxation techniques

Get enough sleep

Eat healthy diet

Stay hydrated

Avoid toxins and chemical

Try manual lymphatic drainage massage

Wear loose comfortable clothing

Take regular breaks to move and stretch breaks


Some herbal teas you can add to your diet that are good for the Lymphatic system:

Chaparral - This tea is great because it has an antioxidant called NDGA, which can reduce cellular damage. And it is said to be very good at combatting viral infections like HIV/Herpes and others. But more research is still required.

Bayberry root - Traditionally used to treat diarrhea and helpful with coughs and excessive mucus production in the respiratory tract.

Graviola/Sour sop - This fruit and it leaves is currently getting hype, as a very potent killer against serious chronic diseases such as cancer. It is said to be packed with antioxidants, may have antibacterial properties, blood sugar regulation and pain relief.

Cleavers  - A leafy herb that is traditional used for lymphatic system support by reducing congestion, it helps in detoxing the body. It great for skin health and urinary tract support. Also known as bedstraw or goose grass. A favorite of mine.

Bitter melon - It is rich in nutrients that the body will love, it packed with essential minerals and vitamins. It also has anti oxidants that can fight cell damage and may reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

Red clover - This is a flowering plant, and may be helpful with managing symptoms of menopause like hot flushes. It packed with Isoflavones which are antioxidants that may potentially reduce the risk of osteoporosis, and may beneficial to the heart as well. Definitely, a second favorite for me.

Cascara Sagrada - is a stimulant laxative so it is good if you suffering with constipation. But not to be used for long term.

Mullein - This is another flowering plant that is said to be good for the relief of persistent respiratory problems, it helps loosen mucus and phlegm.

That it!! That is a very short but powerful information for Lymphatic system drainage.

With all the herbs listed above there has been:

  1. Limited scientific evidence supporting the claims that traditional users have claimed to have.

  2. Safety concerns - there can be side effects like nausea, vomiting and stomach cramps especially with high doses. So it is important to first speak to the Doctor before trying any of the herbal teas out.
